Departing from Anchorage, Alaska our Giant Icebergs and Bear Viewing Tour Package is a combination of our
3-day Bear Glacier Glamping Sea Kayaking trip and our
Fly-in Bear Viewing tour. This tour can also be done as a pre- or post-cruise trip. It can start in Seward, AK or end in Seward.
Few locations in Alaska can match the grandeur of our all-Inclusive private Bear Glacier Glamping Camp location. Bear Glacier is well-known, and famous for its giant icebergs; some can be the size of a house and the big ones can be 3 to 4 stories high. Sea kayaking or paddling a stand up paddleboard in the maze of giant icebergs is an awesome Alaska experience. You have the makings for a wonderful Alaska Vacation. Combine Bear Glacier and excitement of flying in on an Alaska bush floatplane to view Alaska bears in the wild.
Your trip starts in Anchorage, Alaska where you will board the Alaska Railroad for the scenic rail trip to Seward, Alaska. You will soon discover why National Geographic Traveler ranked the Coastal Classic Train among their top ten train rides in North America. For the best train views, a
Gold Star Dome Seat (first-class seat) upgrade is available. Gold Star seats include meals and drinks on the train.
Once you arrive in Seward you will board a helicopter for a flightseeing tour out to our exclusive Bear Glacier Glamping Camp. Or you can choose to add-on a
Kenai Fjords Whale Watching Glacier Tour before flying to Bear Glacier in the evening. This recommended add-on option enables you to experience the number one tour destination in Seward.
Our camp offers comfortable lodging in custom made 12' X 12' WeatherPort fabric cabins, a fabric tension shelter featuring wood floors and 2 single beds. WeatherPort shelters are used as permanent shelters in remote locations around the world and are proven to offer comfortable lodging in every weather condition from Alaska to Antarctica.

After lunch on the first day, we will get dressed in our dry suits and we’re off to explore Bear Glacier Lagoon and the icebergs. We will spend a few hours kayaking before dinner. That evening you can choose to just relax in camp and enjoy the campfire or go for short hike.
Day 2 is full day at Bear Glacier sea kayaking, or try the stand up paddleboards.
Day 3 after breakfast we can go for another short paddle or just relax in camp, or maybe go for a morning hike. Lunch is served and you are off for another helicopter flight back to Seward. This afternoon you have some free time to explore the town of Seward. Meals in Seward are on your own.
Overnight lodging in Seward is included in your tour package.
Day 4 you are in for an exciting day of watching Alaska bears in the wild. Breakfast on your own. We depart Seward earlier for a 2-hour drive to the town of Soldotna where a bush floatplane awaits your arrival. Boarding the small Alaska bush plane you will enjoy the 30 -40 minute scenic flight to the remote bear viewing area located on the west side of Cook Inlet. This remote location is populated with a large numbers of bears, both brown and black bears.
There is few other Alaska activities that can compare to the excitement of flying in for an Alaska Bear Viewing trip. You will spend 4-5 hours on the ground watching the bears and taking some amazing bear photos.
Arriving back in Soldotna we will make a quick stop for some to-go food before driving back to Seward. We arrive back in Seward late evening. Overnight in Seward
Day 5 free day in Seward. Board the Alaska Railroad at 6:00pm arriving back in Anchorage around 10:00pm.
Added pre- and post-tour lodging in Anchorage is available on request. The hotel rate is $169 per night plus tax.
