Passenger Tour Bus, Talkeetna - Denali Park Motorcoach
Talkeetna Denali Park Bus is the daily park connection bus between Talkeetna and Denali National Park. With 2 departures daily the Talkeetna Denali Park Bus trip offers spectacular scenery as you travel the Parks Highway. You will appreciate the comfortable seating, generous legroom, and large picture windows on the custom motor coaches. The Park Connection's bus driver-guides are knowledgeable about Alaska and provide a casual, relevant commentary on the area you'll be traveling through. They keep it light, and balance commentary with time to enjoy the peace and scenic wonder of Alaska's scenery.
Our most popular Denali National Park transportation option is to travel one direction by bus and return by the
Alaska Railroad Denali Star Train, allowing you to take in the scenic vistas of both the highway and rail routes.
To travel to Denali National Park from Talkeetna, your motorcoach will head north from Talkeetna. This trip takes less than three hours and travels on the Parks Highway. The highway borders Denali State Park and offers wonderful views of the Talkeetna Mountains and the Alaska Range. When visible, Mt. Denali, the tallest mountain in North America, is the star of the show. The motorcoach travels through Broad Pass, elevation 2400 feet, a wide mountain pass that features some of the most beautiful scenery along the Parks Highway. Keep an eye out for caribou and moose while driving through Broad Pass. You will pass by the small community of Cantwell before arriving into the Denali Park area.
The Park Connection bus line operates 2 trips daily between Talkeetna and Denali, both departing from the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge, which is about a mile outside of town and in Denali pickup and drop-offs at the local Denali hotels. The morning trip is on the "Denali Express" route and connects with busses going to Denali's backcountry lodges, while the afternoon departure is part of the “Park to Park” service.
