Custom group Alaska rafting adventures are available on request. If have interested in something special or participating in an exploratory expedition, please contact us with your ideals or to see what plans are being made.
Kongakut River - 10 day Arctic National Wildlife Refuge Rafting Safari. Explore Alaska's remote Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) by raft on the "river of caribou". Our trip coincides with the annual migration of the 130,000-strong Porcupine caribou herd and passes through some of the world's most pristine wilderness.
Lake Creek - 7 day Whitewater Rafting and Fishing Adventure. Our favorite fly-in wilderness adventure river, great combination exciting whitewater and great Alaska fishing. Lake Creek offers almost continuous Class II/III whitewater with a few Class IV rapids, five species of salmon, rainbow trout and arctic grayling.
Chulitna River - 4 day Denali Raft Adventure. An excellent family adventure and sampling of Alaska's best wilderness and geography at a casual pace. We travel through Denali State Park, upper Susitna Valley and take out near Trapper Creek, a historic gold mining town. |

Jeff King's Husky Homestead Dog Mushing Tour
Step back from the crowds and join an intimate group for a personal tour of the homestead and kennel of four-time Iditarod champion Jeff King and his wife, well known wildlife artist Donna Gates King.
- Meet champion sled dogs.
- Cuddle with our puppies and see summer training in action.
- 1 1/2 hour narrated kennel tour.
- Transportation provided from most Denali area hotels
This tour is widely heralded as an authentic look into rural lifestyles based on 35 years of Alaskan adventures: from freight hauling on Denali to crossing the finish line in Nome with a champion Iditarod team. Be greeted by cuddly puppies and share an intimate view of the Alaskan Husky as they explode from the kennel on a training run. Get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into creating a championship team and carving a life in Alaska's Interior. Hear compelling stories from the trail and see actual racing sleds, arctic survival gear and equipment used to traverse 1100 miles of Alaska's most rugged terrain.
Jeff King is recognized as the "Winningest Musher in the World". His victories include not only the 1,049 mile Iditarod Sled dog race in 1993, 1996, 1998, and 2006, but also over two dozen first place finishes all across Alaska, including the Yukon Quest. During the past 20 years, Jeff has logged more than 100,000 miles on a dog sled.
Donna is a well-known artist whose art portrays her intimate involvement with mushing and her love and respect of nature.
Also included is a kennel of more than 75 friendly, energetic Alaska huskies ready to share with you their enthusiasm for the sport of sled dog racing and love of the outdoors.
"This 'inside story' about the race, how the dogs are raised and the Kings' relationship with the dogs is amazing. To experience it is to understand it."

Did You Know?
Did you know that Denali or Mt. McKinley, located within Denali National Park and Preserve, is the highest mountain on the North American continent? Measured from the 2,000 foot lowlands to its snowy summit at 20,320 feet, the mountain’s vertical relief of 18,000 feet is greater than that of Mount Everest. |
