Denali Park Bus Tour - Private Bus Tour Into Denali National Park
We invite you to hop aboard a private Denali Park bus for a full day narrated bus tour along the Denali National Park Road to a Denali Lodge in Kantishna, returning to the Denali Park entrance in the evening. This Denali Park Bus adventure travels the entire length of the restricted 95-mile Denali Park Road to Kantishna in a private bus. A trained naturalist Guide/Driver provides natural history interpretation along the way, helping guests search for bears, moose, caribou and other abundant wildlife while pointing out the biology, geology, and history of the region. If the weather is clear, you might even have a chance to see Denali (also known as Mt. McKinley) the tallest mountain in all of North America.
You'll stop along the way for photos and take several rest stops where you can stretch your legs. Snacks and drinks are provided.
At the end of the park road, lunch served in historic Kantishna, founded as a gold mining camp in 1905.
Stretch your legs as you enjoy lunch at the exclusive Kantishna Lodge, located just past Wonder Lake, the jewel of Denali, on the banks of Moose Creek. There you will discover a piece of Alaska’s gold rush history, and enjoy the warm hospitality of the Roadhouse staff as you enjoy a tasty soup, sandwich, fruits, and fresh baked goods. Dietary restrictions are accommodated with advance notice, and there is always a vegetarian option.
After lunch, you'll be invited to try your luck at panning for gold in Moose Creek. If you prefer solitude, there are many hiking trails for you to explore or simply put your feet up and relax on the deck of the lodge with a cool drink and immerse yourself in the natural scenery. After lunch and activities the bus will return to the Denali Park entrance hotels.
Compare our bus tour with the popular National Park Tundra Wilderness Tour and you'll see that the private bus trip goes almost twice as far into the park, and includes a great lunch and an activity at an exclusive lodge. And the Tundra Wilderness Tour does not even get to Eielson Visitor Center, Muldrow Glacier, Wonder Lake or Kantishna, some of the best places inside the park to visit.
